Great Garden Speaker Reviews:

Event Manager Reviews:

Robin is an excellent speaker. Her presentations are friendly, well organized, packed with useful information, & are guaranteed to inspire the beginning as well as the more experienced gardener. She is also a dream to work with.
– Mary Berg, Molbak’s Nursery Events Manager

Robin was featured speaker for a virtual workplace environmental sustainability/well-being event. While the program was somewhat informal, it was produced in a corporate context so there were hard deadlines and risk reviews of slides to manage. Robin did a great job. Because of her years of experience she was able to pull together customized content that met our needs, and had her presentation slides ready for review in ample time. It all made my team’s work a lot easier. Audience was motivated to grow food after the program, received great feedback from attendees and hosts. I should note the audience was composed of folks who regularly present for a living, so her public speaking chops met some high standards. Robin did need to project her own slides/content for copyright reasons which was an unusual request for us, but virtual setting posed no issues with that ask. Spot-on content and polished speaker.
– Susan Hindmarsh, Corporate Event Manager

I have had Robin speak to my class for several years. She is very thorough, relates well to an audience, and handles questions with confidence. I strongly recommend her for any group. She loves her work and plants!
-Don M., LWIT Horticulture Program Founder & Instructor

Robin is entertaining and informative for all ages! She has hosted two seminars since I have been the Event Coordinator at Molbak’s, and both have been very successful. The first was on hummingbird gardens, and the second was a kid-friendly worm composting class. Very fun, very educational!
-Alli D., Molbak’s Event Coordinator

Garden Club Speaker Reviews:

Robin… was wonderful & entertaining. To say that we all learned a lot is an understatement!!
-Michael C., Mill Creek Garden Club President

Robin spoke to Skyline Garden Club in Anacortes…She was an excellent speaker and had a wonderful presentation with lots of great photos and information. As SGC President, I received many compliments on Robin’s program. Everyone enjoyed it and learned something new. I can highly recommend Robin.
-Barbara L., President SGC Garden Club

Reviews by Individual Attendees I

Fantastic Inspiration! I feel like Robin has opened my eyes. After moving to Orcas Island a little over 2 years ago and acquiring 1.1 acres of property, much of which is garden, I now look at it differently. I have always admired “wild gardens”—gardens that were not formally arranged in neat borders and rows. But I have never been very good at making my garden “wild” in a good way. Now I am looking at the plants that I can’t seem to win, and letting em be a part of my landscape. Robin is extremely knowledgeable and personable and fun, suggesting things that I never would have thought of and I high(ly) recommend her.
-Deb O.

I saw Robin speak today at the Mother Earth News Fair on “Plants to Lure Pollinators”. She was a great speaker and her talk was very informative.
-Meghan P.

Completely enjoyed learning so much about the history and seeing beautiful Paris gardens. What a treat!
-Jen P.

Reviews by Individual Attendees, II

Primo Plantings for Pollinators was great! Robin provided a lot of detailed information on pollinators as well the various types of flowers and plants that pollinators need. She included numerous beautiful photos and useful handouts. I’m definitely going to try some of her tips to encourage pollinators in my neighborhood.
-Buffy P.

It was a delight to hear Robin’s compelling garden lecture chuck full of relevant plant knowledge, fine photography, and sage advice. Her ebullient spirit reflects the passion she feels for the plants she observes and gardens she designs.
-Norie

Robin spoke at our recent MCGC meeting. She was terrific, entertaining and so very knowledgeable. Her passion for gardening is so obvious that you just cannot help but listen to every word. I hope we invite her to speak again next year on another subject!
-Lili J.

Reviews by Individual Attendees, III

Thank you, Robin, for sharing your experience of Paris! You introduced parts of the city, as well as outskirts, that I would never thought of visiting. The gardens you chose were beautiful and I really appreciated the history and tidbits about the areas.,,the restroom tips were awesome! You kept me pleasantly engaged through the entire presentation and can’t wait until I visit Paris again. Each location will be included in my trip! What city is next cuz I’m signing up!
-Nicole S.

Robin is very knowledgeable on many facets of horticulture. I am impressed by her conscientious and safe practice environmental approach to both landscape and edible gardening. She is always obviously happy to share her information with people of all ages. You all are in for a treat!
-Lynne

Planting for Pollinators: …I learned exactly what I came to learn and applied the information immediately! Wonderful.
-Ingrid

Reviews by Individual Attendees, IV

I’ve seen Robin speak several times and with each topic she delivers a ton of great information in a fun engaging way! She relates to kids, people gardening with pets (even bees!) and anyone who wants to grow their own food. Anytime she is scheduled at garden shows I make a point to sit in on her talks!
-Jessica

Robin provided a beautiful garden tour of Paris. Her detailed descriptions included plant information as well as historical information. It was like traveling to Paris without leaving my couch.
-Buffy P.
